General Description

Sewerage Catchment:

• The Wonga Point outfall is the discharge point for the Bateau Bay STP.

Sewage Treatment:  

• Bateau Bay uses a continuous extended aeration activated sludge (CEASS) process with trickling filters and disinfection by chlorination.

Outfall:

• The outfall was commissioned in 1971 and is located at Wonga Point. The discharge pipe is located at the edge of the rock platform below low tide.
